Easynews Launches VPN Service

May 18, 2015

Easynews May 2015 VPN offeringEasynews has added a VPN service to their offerings. If you have a USENET access account through Easynews, you can try out the VPN for free. If you happen to be a Big Gig subscriber, you get the VPN service as a free add-on for as long as you keep that tier of service.

If you have a Classic or Plus plan, you’ll be able to try out the VPN add-on for 30 days. New subscribers get a 14-day free trial to see if they want to add the VPN. If you decide you like it, you can add it for $2.99 per month after the trial expires.

You can also get this service as a standalone product for $11.99 per month if you don’t have USENET access through Easynews.

The Specs

The VPN service offers access to more than seventy servers in fifteen different nations. It comes with its own software, so there isn’t any substantial learning curve involved.

You get all the common VPN protocols: OpenVPN, L2TP and PPTP. You can run two connections at once and you can switch servers as much as you want.

If you don’t have a VPN provider, signing up for a service is a great way to enhance your online privacy. The $11.99 per month price tag is competitive with most VPN providers out there, so it’s worth checking out, even if you’re only looking for a standalone option.
