Conclusion

Usenet-Crawler has been on the scene for a long time now and has done the USENET community a great service by consistently offering the Best Free account for any NZB sites. Many NZB site owners temporarily offer free VIP membership only to drastically reduce the free user capabilities once they reach a certain number of users. Not so with Usenet-Crawler, they have been in it for the long haul.

Been using this site for over a year.6 months of which I’ve been a bff. Very possibly a better nzb indexing site than nzbmatrix. Easily as good as any site out right now.

Site was taken down by BRIEN(after BRIEN told ISP to remove it). They will try to re-establish with a new host if they can, they still have the domain in their possession. I don’t think their dead quite yet!

Admin of site has has some personal issues he has had to deal with, site still up but updates are sporadic. Some sections appear to be current others, not so much. Just checked their movie listing latest one posted is 2 weeks old…as of 7/31. Wouldn’t use as your main source.

UP! DOWN! UP! DOWN! UP! DOWN! Slow as molasses in an arctic February! Used to be my favorite, but undependable. Went with 6Box, but now that is gone. Dognzb won’t let me login anymore. OZNzb is now pay. Oh well, time to move on!

Site goes up ‘n’ down more than a $5 crack whores panties when the navy is docked. Admin disappears for months at a time and comes back for an hour or so just to collect the subscription cash from the idiots who keep paying.
Massive volumes of spam, virus exe files disguised as legit movies/tv shows and bountiful amounts of duplicates flooding the lists.

    AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Looks like it’s finally died; it was a good source most of the time whilst it lasted… could have been fabulous but the admin had too many problems of his own. Hope he’s okay.

Confused about how the index sites work – Can it access my usenet provider? How is there any guarantee that the nzb file it provides is available with my usenet service? Just confused how the indexers work.
    Thanks.

When its running its the best, but lately the site is up and down like a yo yo, and yet again it has been down for nearly a week.

Unfortunately almost none of their stuff is packed, and rarely have sfv to even check single file downloads. Too many of them are corrupt which you never find out unless watching every episode at the time of downloading. The best sites don’t muck with ORIGINAL RELEASE FILES. That way you can fix them from other places if needed also. unraring the files and uploading just an MKV makes errors a reality. There is a reason we RAR, and PAR files. ERROR CORRECTIONS.

I see it’s back to the old ‘Service Unavailable’ error that has plagued the site over the past year

In the meantime, I suggest NZBPlanet, as it has become my new ‘go to’ servide

Whoever is operating this site may just as well take it and crawl up their wazoo with it. Just about every time I have tried to access it over the last several months I get an “Error 522 – Connection timed out”.

    This site Is Toast!

nobodyuknow: Sour grapes. I rarely had a bad nzb from this site, and they had the most complete and best history of any site paid or free. Maybe your news provider was faulty, but their nzb worked 99% of the time for me. No corrupt files, no need for RARs, etc, etc. Sounds like a news provider issue to me.

It is no longer “Totally free”. You get 3 NZBs now and that is it. You can’t even post on the forum without being a BFF to ask about it. I would pay for the BFF, but the site doesn’t exactly have a strong track record of staying online.
