With online storage solutions there a couple of ways to operate your business…you can either rent a bunch of servers for the storage, or you can own the servers. Golden Frog operates and owns their own servers. Which means that they have total control over how the network operates and is optimized…no middle men in this service for them to have to deal with.
Recently they added a few servers to their already large arsenal, and decided to take a few pictures of the stacks after they were installed. And they should be proud, these servers are 500 TB each, and they deployed the servers for their Dump Truck online storage users. These pics are from the facility in Austin Texas they call “The Data Foundry.” That’s a monstrous 130,000 sq/ft facility that contains a lot of these stacks.
Presently, Giganews doesn’t have online storage solutions available for anybody except their Usenet customers, but there are plans to start offering an online storage package separately soon. But in the meantime, if you want the Dump Truck online storage, you will have to get their award winning Usenet service, with the Mimo browser and VyprVPN service…not a bad trade off.
For more information on Giganews, Dump Truck Online Storage, or Golden Frog, you can read the details about them in our Giganews Review, Mimo Review, or the VyprVPN Review, Golden Frog is behind every one of these.
