Newnzb.tv has updated yet again, giving it a new skin and some features that should be compelling to people who have been thinking about giving this NZB indexing site a try.
The new Newnzb.tv updates include updates to their XML that updates their NZB search engine. A new search algorithm has been added to the service, which is designed to help the software learn what people want and to give it to them more easily.
Newnzb.tv has also extended their retention time. From now on, the most popular groups on the NZB indexing site will have 900 days of retention. For less popular groups, 300 days of retention will be the standard. This should provide plenty of access to NZB files for people who are searching for them after the peak of their popularity.
Newnzb.tv has come on strong, with a lot of great features and an incredibly easy to use interface. The indexing site allows you to select multiple NZB’s and add them to a list and download them all at once, making it easier to sort through whatever files you want to download and eliminating the need to go back and forth between pages to select multiple NZB’s.
Newnzb.tv offers quite a bit for a free page. You’ll still need a USENET service to download NZBs, of course, but this indexer may just give you faster access to files that you really want than you’re USENET service itself.
One great feature on the new interface is a link to the IMDB page for video files, if it applies. If you’re interested in downloading a video and there happens to be more information about it online, you can use this to see if it is what you’re looking for before you bother downloading. This is a great feature for public domain content.
Newnzb.tv is a great site if you’re looking for NZB files. The interface is so easy to use that even beginner USENET users shouldn’t have any trouble figuring out how to get what they’re looking for. Perhaps best of all, you don’t have to register at this site to use it and you get the same level of quality in terms of searches and retention as you do off of many of the sites that require registration, or even a paid membership.
