2014 Best NZB Site

February 20, 2014

usenetcrawler logoThis category takes a lot of things into consideration, many of them being subjective. Retention searchable, library size, functions and even the filters are taken into account. Last year there was a three way tie but this year was easier to narrow the field down and select two winners of this category: Usenet-Crawler and oznzb.

The Last 12 Months

In the last 12 months there has been a lot of really great NZB sites taken down, but for almost every one taken down, there has been another opening up. Here’s a little bit about the winners of this years Best NZB Site category:

  • Usenet-Crawler.com. This Newznab website is a completely free site, though there is premium access available. Premium access gives you more integration with newsreaders, a cart, ratings, forum access, and a few other small perks. The site doesn’t accept PayPal so bitcoins, Liberty reserve, and EgoPay are all accepted.
  • Oznzb.com This brand new Newznab site made the grade because of the size of their library, (more than 2.5 Million,) and a retention rate of more than four and a half years. The site has plenty of filters to reduce the spam and passworded files, and bandwidth is unlimited for all users.

Congratulations Usenet-Crawler and Oznzb

The last 12 months have been a whirlwind of updates, upgrades, and back-filling for your teams, and they have handled the pressure extremely well. Usenet-Crawler has been at it for a while and stands the test of time, though the huge library of the upstart site, Oznzb, makes them a formidable competitor for the 2014 Best NZB Site category.
