Usenet News for August
Now that we are into Septemeber I wanted to post a few Usenet related news articles for the month of August.
There has been lots of talk sabnzb.org, which is a great (and FREE) program for downloading filez of Usenet. I like SABNZB but currently Im sticking to Newsleecher’s new 4.0 version which is also excellent (but not free).
A new network media streamer, sort of like a DVD player but instead downloading the DVD”s over the Internet. Anyways, this DVD player has a built in Usenet client. Details here: Sounds like Usenet is increasing in popularity relative to bitorrent.
Effective September 30, 2009, Verizon will discontinue Usenet newsgroup access as part of its internet bundle offering. Many Usenet Service providers are offering specials for customers from Verizon. Here it is again – Verizon Usenet Discounts.
