pwnZB.com Review
pwnZB.com, is a newcomer on the NZB indexer scene that seems to have quite a bit to offer. If you’re not a gamer, the word “pwn” means to “own”, as in dominate or excel. This provider is out there to offer users a clean interface and a service that is easy to understand.
About the Site
pwnZB.com is very new, having been around for roughly a month. They describe their current NZB count as “a lot”. It might not be a solid number to work with, but it’s true nonetheless and the site is in the process of expanding its NZBs via backfilling.
The site currently indexes approximately 70 newsgroups but, as they are expanding, that number may increase in the future.
There is currently a VIP level membership available for the site. They only launched recently, so there were only approximately 12 VIP members at the time of writing, though that’s likely to expand, of course.
Tech
pwnZB.com is a newznab site that does provide an API. You can also get the list of newest additions via RSS. The server hardware consists of 2 500GB drives on an Ubuntu machine with a Xeon x3210 processor and 8 GB of RAM. That should provide the site with plenty of power to grow on. The server is located in the Netherlands.
Getting In
pwnZB.com has open registration at the moment, so it’s a good time to sign up and see what they have to offer. They have a forums set up for users and they don’t have any advertising. The company says the server costs 100 euros per month and they’ll stay ad free as long as they can get by on donations.
The server updates its listings every 5 minutes, so you should have the latest releases at your fingertips as soon as they go onto the newsgroups that this indexer makes available. Representatives of the site say that they want to keep it up and running and make sure that the site is clean and smooth, which being advertisement free should definitely help with.
pwnZB.com is one of several new NZB indexers that we’ve profiled in recent weeks. As old sites have gone away, new ones have been popping up all over to replace them. Because pwnZB.com is offering free registration, you might want to take the time to sign up and see what they have to offer you in terms of the latest NZBs.

Have just logged on to pwnZB & was directed to Newznab bit confused as just paid for VIP, Has the site gone so soon as any search for pwnZB leads to Newznab
The admin “pigenor” from pwnzb is an absolute moron. He does not understand how newznab functions, anything about ubuntu and networking. The site is an off the shelf copy of NN with a free theme from two guys on iRC. He claims to have a lot of content, but it is 1/100th the content of other private indexers I have found.
He is not a good admin and in the end will be the own demise of his indexer. Great name, horrible server, horrible staff, awful admin and slower then shit!
