NewNZB Review
NewNZB, located at http://NewNZB.tv is an indexing site that does things a little bit differently than the regular USENET indexing sites. This indexing site utilizes artificial intelligence to increase the quality of what users are offered. According to the people behind the site, the idea is to create something of a learning site where the technology becomes better at filtering out worthless USENET posts, offering a higher level of service to everybody who uses the site.
NewNZB utilizes a completely automated indexer, according to the people behind the site. This is intended to make it easier to search the site. There is also a bit of news on the site, offering some variety.
Site Layout
NewNZB has a nice, simple interface that allows you to page through the site easily and to get NZB’s at the touch of a button. The interface also allows you to create a list, speeding your ability to get your downloads started.
While the site and the technology behind it are described as being in their infancy, the payoffs could be big for USENET users down the road. One of the greatest problems with NZB indexing sites and the USENET in general is the fact that it’s quite easy to download a completely worthless file without realizing it.
This might not be a big problem for people who have unlimited bandwidth access to their USENET account, but those who are on block accounts may find themselves expending bandwidth on files that don’t offer them what they want.
Try it Out
The interface really couldn’t be simpler, and the site is currently open so use that users may want to take a look at what it has to offer and see if it suits their needs.
Versus Other Sites
While the personal touch is valued nostalgically, eliminating the human element in indexing NZB files may prove to be quite useful. By getting rid of those NZB files that waste user’s time, the efficiency of the USENET system as a way to get information could be greatly improved.
No more downloading videos with virus laden, password-protected RAR files and, if the technology works well, no more downloading the majority of a file only to find out that it’s broken when the download completes.Any of our preferred USENET providers can give you the access you need to use the NZB files you find on NewNZB.
NewNZB Conclusion
NewNZB, while new, has done a nice job with their launch and we expect to see more good things from them. Definitely check them out.
