Programmer Ronald Heft details a process by which you can enable automatic downloads of Usenet nzb if you have a Macintosh using Automatic.c/. This whole process relies on Mac OSX based RSS software called Automatic – http://codingcurious.com/automatic/
Here is more about Automatic in their own words – “Automatic allows you to set up subscriptions for virtually any content linked in RSS feeds: podcasts, videocasts, torrentcasts… Rule of thumb: if it ends in ‘-cast’, you can get it with Automatic.”
Also Automatic records every items it downloads, and you can easily check the history to see what, when and from where. If you are Mac Freak and like Usenet check out Ronald’s article.
Our second tip, check out the new version of Unison http://usenetreviewz.com/unison-review/. They have a new and improved version as of 2010 that works almost as well as the pc based Newsbin.
