I’m very disappointed with the service. Connection is intermittant at best – the SSL connection rarely works correctly but at the moment the entire service is down and theres no news of when it will be back up. They state on their service status page that there will be intermittant problems due to “server upgrade” between certain hours but this is way outside those hours.
They are cheap, but I’m finding out you get exactly what you pay for. I will be looking to switch suppliers when this months subscription is up.
A follow up. Since they had a server upgrade it’s reliable 95% of the time so I decided to stick with it. Secure access is still only limited to one or two simultaneous connections and thats when it works at all, which isn’t very often. But then what usenet provider does have a reliable secure port? Giganews possibly, but then look at their prices.

Service was adequate for the one month I was able to use it. After the first month the automatic renewal kicked in and I was unable to connect to their servers. I would get access denied. I opened a ticket and never heard back. I disputed it with paypal and fastusnet has not responded and it has been over 10 days. I elevated at paypal and they have yet to respond to them either. Bottom line is their customer service is abysmal.
Well this my final report. Unfortunately the service has deteriorated to point of being almost useless, constant disconnects and server errors. My guess is they’ve run out of bandwidth and their hosts are throttling their bandwidth. I’ve decided to unsubscribe. I guess we’ll see whether they keep taking money from my account or not.
Not recommended.
