New Servers at Astraweb
It’s hard to beat Astraweb for their combination of price and preformance but other Usenet service continually are trying to out perform them and competition in the Usenet industry is good news for Joe Average Usenet user because you – the Usenet user can take advantage of these new services like VPN ( from Giganews) , Â extra storage space ( Newsdemon ) and built in search ( UsenetServer and Easynews )
Anyways, Astraweb like all these other Usenet service providers has been on the move recently and they have been upgrading and eliminating old server names — so in case you are having problems with servers at Astraweb you should be aware that they are  updating server names.  They have been phasing out older connection details in order to make things simpler and more consistent.

Secure Servers (SSL) on ports 443 or 563.

- ssl-eu.astraweb.com (European servers)
- ssl-us.astraweb.com (U.S. servers)
