Announcing The 2011 UsenetReviewz Awards
Okay folks, 2012 has a had a great start for all of us here at UsenetReviewz, and we are hoping it has been just as good of a start for you as it has been for us. There were lots of great announcements coming out of the Consumer Electronics Show…lots of cool gadgets and new technologies that will becoming available for your enjoyment this year. Gadgets that will make your Usenet experience even better than ever before. But, you don’t want to be floundering around looking for the Usenet providers, whether it’s an NZB search engine, or a network provider.
About The Awards
This is how you can distinguish the difference between the good, and the great. We have been watching all the providers over the last year, and our awards have a dual purpose…to let the providers know who we, (and our readers,) thought were the hardest working, and most customer oriented; and to let potential customers know who the best actually is. And we look at them all with a very discriminating eye. We want to let the providers know what you want and think is the best, and let you know who is giving it. So, without further ado, here are the categories we will be judging in:
Most Improved Usenet Provider- Top Quality Usenet Provider
- Best Deal/Valued Usenet Provider
- Most Anonymous/Private Provider
- Best Usenet Newsreaader
- Best Small Usenet Newsreader
- Best Web-based NZB Downloader
- Best NZB Site
- Best Usenet Search Service
Our Criteria
The criteria for each category is kind of self explanatory, and we have been watching all the providers for the last year to make this determination. The entire year counts. We will look at things like the number of updates, improvements, newsgroups, retention improvements, VPN’s available…all the important stats. And, we don’t take just the number of improvements into account. The effectiveness, quality, and popularity also counts for, (and against,) the providers.
Still Mulling It Over
And ironing out the details, but rest assured that you need to check back here often over the next couple of weeks. We’ll be publishing the award announcements every few days. If you would like to let us know your thoughts, at to why you agree, (or disagree,) with us, you can send us a Tweet at @usenetreviewz.
